Sec 1 Sketchbook Assignments for Semester 1 2009(hand-in Term 2 Wk1)

+ Hand-in of Art File(White) with notes.

All works to be minimum A4 size in sketchbook

1. Sketch of Picasso + Copy of picture

2. 2 Sketches of a Hero potrait/ Self-potrait (front, side 3/4 view - choose 2 views) + photo of portraits

3. Sketch of Basic Shapes of Nature (cube, sphere, cylinder, cone) with shading

4. Homework - Sketch of Still Life (your favourite object) with shading in A4. (A3 Recommended)

5. Collage - Hero portait/ self-portrait using magazine cutouts and pasted with PVA glue + Copy of artist's reference work

6. Colour pencil shading in tones + colour of a portrait (in shades/ tones)

7. Painting of portait in shades/ tones (1 monochromatic colour) + copy of artists's reference

8. Painting of landscape in shades/tones + copy of artist's reference (A3 Recommended)

About the MP(music playlist), do u want to make it invisible or visible? Visible the good point is that u can choose the song that u want it to be played, but it is too "fat" to fit into the hw cat. Invisible is that u cant see the playlist, but u can hear the song. Of course, for invisible playlist, u cant choose the song that u want it to be played, and the songs will be played randomly.

Independent Learning for Sec 1 Home Economics

You have to log on to our school portal for further details on the coursework task.

Task:

1)Research on a healthy one-dish meal for teenagers

- Do an online search for healthy one-dish meal recipes. You may also gather recipes from cookbooks, magazines etc.

- Choose 3 suitable recipes that fit the criteria. State the web address or title of the books of the recipes selected.

- Print the recipes. Bring to class for next lesson(10/3,Tuesday). Marks will be not be given if you fail to bring the print-out of the 3 recipes(8 marks).

2) Do a mind map or graphic organizer of the factors relating to the above, which is an 'healthy one-dish meal'.

*Consider the factors or criteria of a
- healthy one-dish meal
- choice of ingredients
- method of cooking
- time frame(45 minutes of preparation, cooking & presentation of meal
- budget
- skill etc.

You may use any format on Word Doc, Powerpoint etc. Search for ideas on how a mindmap or graphic organizer looks like.

I have added the music playlist(esp wif quite a no. of Jay chou songs due 2 da huge demand) and song request tagboard in the "cassette" . Check it out. Ohya, if you wan 2 hear da music, u mus stay in the "cassette". Navigating 2 others(e.g tagboard) will cut off da music immediately. You guys may also wan 2 create a slide of photos from http://www.slide.com/(Clicking this will navigate from current webpage) beforing embeding into either da "photos" or "videos" section. I have put up da rules(copied from skintest321.bs.com) and duplicated tat blog into tis acount for a better reference as skintest4321.bs.com.

Updaters are needed for tis blog, esp wif da HW(Crucial!), music playlist(add songs by demand) and announcements(class comittee advised) of course.

I suggest changing the URL of da blog. I guess thr r 2 many 1FGs' in sg, wich resulted in da never-ending no. of intruders(u knw hu u r!) Is will be nice if u dont include these in da url - "09", "1fg" "cchms" xD

Anw, also, i advise u guys nt 2 share an email (da email 2 gain access 2 posting currently), itz way 2 risky. as tis acount has admin privillages, if da information leaks out, u will welcome hackers and da template may be messed up. Also, indirectly murdering tis blog. I will prefer if you guys giv me ure emails, b4 adding each indivisual as author/admin. ohya, chnge da current passw. 2. 100% safe. Absolutely.
